Tripura Pradesh Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas is resigning from the post of the President of Tripura Pradesh Congress.

He will send his resignation letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi today.

The appointment of Tripura Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas comes after Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman resigned as president of Tripura Congress some time ago over his plea for implementation of NRC in the state and refusing to “compromise” with other Congress leaders.

Biswas has been the president of the party state unit since December 2019.
