PM Modi says more strict actions against paper leaks will be announced in Cabinet meet on Friday

New Delhi, July 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Union Cabinet will discuss a draft legislation on Friday aimed at tackling examination paper leak cases through the establishment of fast-track courts and stricter legal provisions.

In a video message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said the proposed law is intended to ensure swift investigation, speedy trials and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leak cases. He added that the Centre will make every effort to have the Bill passed during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Modi noted that repeated examination paper leaks have caused immense distress to lakhs of students and their families, stressing that the government is committed to protecting the interests of students and ensuring the integrity of competitive examinations.

The proposed legislation is expected to strengthen the legal framework against exam-related fraud and serve as a strong deterrent against future paper leak incidents.
