Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the Integrated Public Health Laboratory at Sonamura Divisional Hospital virtually from Rajkot.
Moreover, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Integrated Public Health Laboratory at South Tripura District Hospital and Dhalai District Hospital virtually on this day.
Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandavya, Union Minister of State for Health Prof. SP Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Health Bharati Praveen Pawar and others were present at this virtual event in Rajkot.
In the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The number of AIIMS hospitals in the country is being increased. In the last 10 years there has been a drastic change in the health services in the country.
10 years ago there were 380-390 medical colleges in the country. Now there are 706 medical colleges in the country. More than 1 lakh students are getting the opportunity to study MBBS every year in the country.”
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik, Sepahijala District Council Chairperson Supriya Das Dutta, MLA Kishore Barman, Melaghar Municipal Council Chairperson Anamika Ghosh Pal Roy and others were present at the event.
