Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Grameen (PMAY-G) scheme, 10,830 families in Khowai district have been provided with newly constructed houses.

This initiative aims to ensure permanent housing for rural residents. The distribution of houses across various blocks in the district includes 2,156 families in Khowai block, 1,848 families in Tulasikhar block, 940 families in Padmabil block, 1,561 families in Mungiakami block, 1,906 families in Kalyanpur block, 2,419 families in Teliamura block.

Each house under this scheme has been constructed at a cost of 1 lakh 30 thousand rupees. The information was provided by the Khowai District Magistrate’s office.
