During his visit to Khumulung on Sunday, Tipra Motha supremo Pradyut Kishore Debbarman strongly condemned political violence, stating that “goons have no party.” He noted that anti-social elements often switch parties and flags to seek political protection, which ultimately harms ordinary citizens.
“Those who want to do politics under the shelter of violence will have to pay the price,” he warned, emphasizing that people want development, not unrest.
Urging strict action, Pradyut Kishore Debbarman called on the police to take legal steps against those involved in violent activities and restore peace.
He visited Khumulung to meet Tipra Motha workers following a recent violent incident in the area. Reiterating his stand, he said that violence has no place in politics and must be stopped in the interest of the people.
