On June 26, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, the Chairman of Tipra Motha, officially opened a ‘Drug Rehabilitation Centre’ in Khumulwng, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) headquarters.

Royal Scion Pradyot expressed his satisfaction and highlighted the significance of collective efforts in safeguarding the future generation.
He expressed his satisfaction regarding the initiation of the drug rehabilitation program in Khumulwng, mentioning that they had requested additional funds more than a year ago to kick-start this initiative.

Pradyot said that Tripura is grappling with a drug issue that particularly impacts the indigenous population.

He underscored the importance of rejecting drugs for the indigenous community’s survival and empowerment.

Drawing attention to the destructive consequences of drug use in society, Pradyot called for effective measures to counteract this issue and commended the proactive step taken by TTAADC.

He said, “Addiction is a problem that has inflicted significant harm on numerous families and continues to plague society.
