Protest against CAB ; Bandh to continue JMACAB
Leaders of Joint Movement Against CAB yesterday announced continuation of State wife indefinite strike opposing CAB.
The leaders while commenting on Large scale violence pointed fingers at Police and said that maintaining law and order was the duty of police personnel.
Addressing a press meet JMACAB convener Anthony Debbarma said the strike would continue.
He alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had ignored the concern of indigenous people of the state relating to the CAB
BK Hrangkhawl who was present in the press conference at Agartala Press Club also put blame the police for failing to control the situation in some places where untoward incident took place. “In Agartala, there was peaceful agitation but in some areas, the situation has got worsened. The situation could be handled differently”, he said.
