On Wednesday, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath conducted a meeting in Agartala with the officials of TSECL (Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited) with the aim to enhance the current state of electricity service.

Following the discussions, he proceeded to meet with other key officials of the corporation, including the Managing Director, General Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Secretary.

The minister said in the meeting that necessary equipment, workers, and vehicles will be allocated in different areas to improve the electricity situation in the state.

He emphasized the need to enhance the power infrastructure, acknowledging that severe rainfall could cause damage to the power lines and transformers, as well as tree branches could fall on the lines and there could be other unforeseen problems.

The minister stressed the importance of swiftly resolving such issues by promptly repairing the damaged lines to normalise the power situation.

He instructed the corporation officers to conduct surprise visits to various areas in this context to ensure promot works.

Power Minister highlighted that the power sector is currently of utmost priority, underscoring the significance of timely interventions. He also emphasized that staff and officers may need to work overtime if required to address the situation effectively.
