Senior IPS officer Amitabh Ranjan is appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Tripura on Thursday.
The Governor of Tripura is pleased to appoint Amitabh Ranjan as head of police force and DGP with effect from the date he assumes charge.
The decision is taken based on the interest of the public service of Amitabh Ranjan.
Amitabh Ranjan is an Indian police service (IPS) officer of 1988 batch.
He is currently posted as the Special Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB) in New Delhi on central deputation.
Amitabh Ranjan will replace incumbent Tripura DGP VS Yadav.
