Agartala, Wednesday: The anti-cannabis crackdown by Sidhai police station is ongoing, with a major operation conducted on Wednesday. A team from Sidhai police station, accompanied by CRPF and TSR personnel, launched a drive to destroy illegal cannabis plantations in the region.
Beginning at 9:00 AM, the team uprooted and destroyed cannabis plants from multiple locations near Kalachhara village’s Kalagachhia market in Mohanpur, as well as from the Narendra Nagar tea garden area.
According to Sub-Inspector Rathindra Debbarma, the second officer of Sidhai police station, a total of 30,000 cannabis plants across 22 plots were destroyed during the operation.
