“The state government is working on priority for women’s self-empowerment. The state government is implementing various schemes to make women self-employed and self-reliant.
Great success is also coming in this work” Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said this while inaugurating the Gomati District-based Saras Mela at Rajarshi Hall in Udaipur on Wednesday.
42 stalls were opened from 8 blocks of Gomati district in the 3-day district-wise Saras Mela. Women from various self-help groups participated in the fair with their products.
Inaugurating Saras Mela, the Finance Minister said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on various plans to make Lakhpati Didi.
The state government is also working to make 2 lakh sisters millionaires. Already more than 80 thousand didis (women) have become millionaires in the state.”
He said, “The state government has given special importance to the production of local products. The women of the self-help group are now also producing organic abir (colour), which is healthier.” He also presented information on various developmental works of the state government.
