The tax collection in Tripura has shown significant growth over the past year.
Finance Secretary Apurba Kumar Roy highlighted this information on Wednesday.
The Goods and Service Tax (GST) collection has increased by 16 percent, rising from Rs 2014.32 crore in the 2022-23 fiscal year to Rs 3,302.58 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal year until January.
The senior official, addressing reporters, also said that the collection of state excise has grown from Rs 298.08 crore to Rs 327.90 crore during the same period, marking a 10 percent increase.
