Sushanta felicitates silver medalist Mithali Debnath

In the event, Mitali Debnath, who recently won gold in 1500m and silver in 800m at the 22nd Asian Masters Athletics, was felicitated with a check of 10,000 rupees and a memento.

Minister of Food, Transport and Tourism Department Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated the Jirania block-based Developed Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Proti Ghore Sushasan (Good Governance), Jirania block-based youth festival, Kaushal Mela and Ayush village program at Makumaikami High School premises of Harijoy Chowdhury Gram Panchayat on Tuesday.

While inaugurating the program, Minister Chowdhury said, “The developed Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been started to extend the opportunities of various public welfare schemes of the State Government and the Central Government to the people.

Along with this, the Proti Ghore Sushasan (Good Governance) 2.0 campaign has also started in every house under the initiative of the state government. Both these programs aim to provide access to government schemes and services to the people of marginal towns.”
He said, “The eligible beneficiaries from three-tier Panchayat to urban areas should not be deprived of the benefits of government schemes.

BDO of Jirania Block Sumit Kumar Das delivered the welcome address on the occasion.
