According to the agreement, 11 places have been identified for resettlement of 6,302 Bru families in the state. So far Bru refugee families are being shifted to resettlement sites identified as per their choice and construction of 3,249 houses has already been completed for their accommodation.
Punit Agarwal, Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department, said this in a press conference at the press conference hall of the secretariat today.
He said that in three equal installments, the resettled Bru refugee families have been given financial assistance of one and a half lakh rupees for the construction of houses. RR, Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, ST Certificate, PRTC, MGNREGA Job Card among resettled Bru Refugee families.
