Leaders of the TIPRA Motha party, along with their Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), arranged a large group to visit the Block Development Officers who serve under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

They presented a memorandum, outlining their demands, which includes the urgent need for Village Council elections in the four-point charter.

Paul Dangsu, a TIPRA Motha MLA said that the memorandum was delivered to the Block Development Officers in all the RD Blocks that fall under the jurisdiction of TTAADC.

The key demand is to place the Village Committee under the supervision of the Monitoring Committee of the Tipra Motha Party.

The memorandum also stresses the importance of conducting timely elections for the Village Council, ensuring the efficient utilisation of all Village Committee Funds within the fiscal year, and acknowledging the Roman Script as the accepted writing system for the Kokborok language.
