Khumulwng, May 5: The formal election of the new Chairman and Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the ADC Council was successfully concluded today at the Council Building in Khumulwng.

All 24 newly elected members of the Tipra Motha party participated in the process, unanimously electing Bhabaranjan Reang, who represents the Damchhara-Jampui constituency, as Chairman of the Council. Runiel Debbarma, elected from the Bodhjungnagar-Wakinagar constituency, was chosen as the new Chief Executive Member.

Speaking after his election, Runiel Debbarma outlined the priorities of the new executive body, stating that the committee would focus on addressing key issues such as drinking water, education, and healthcare.

He acknowledged that the State Government provides limited financial support but assured that efforts would be made to carry out development work to the fullest extent possible within the available resources.
