Agartala, May 5: Following the party’s significant success in the West Bengal Assembly elections, former Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament arrived in Tripura on Tuesday to seek the blessings of Mata Tripura Sundari.
Deb reached the temple around 2:30 PM, where he offered prayers and paid obeisance to the Goddess. Upon his arrival at the temple premises, he received a warm reception from local MLAs , , and , along with several BJP leaders and party workers, who greeted him with bouquets.
State Tourism Minister was also present on the occasion. Before and after offering prayers, Deb interacted with party workers and supporters within the temple complex.
Amidst his busy political schedule, the visit—undertaken to observe religious rituals—generated enthusiasm among BJP workers and supporters. On the occasion, Deb also extended his congratulations to the newly elected candidate from Dharmanagar, and wished him success in his political journey.
After offering prayers at the Tripura Sundari Temple, the MP also paid his respects at the adjacent Shiva temple. He spent some time within the temple premises before departing for as per his scheduled itinerary.
