Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, the founder of Tipra Motha, mentioned on Friday that the party is considering the possibility of organizing a one-day strike in Tripura regarding the ‘Greater Tipraland’ matter.
The former Tipra Motha leader through his recent video message to supporters, made just two days prior, stated that this action is being contemplated as a means to exert pressure on the Central government.
After his return from Delhi, while speaking to media at the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) headquarters in Khumulwng, Pradyot said, “We are in the process of organizing a one-day strike to advance our demands.
Thus, Tipra Motha leaders have engaged in internal discussions. We will soon unveil the schedule and additional particulars regarding the strike.”
He added, “Although our discussion with the Union Home Minister had positive outcomes, we should continue to pressurise the Central government and unite our voices to ensure they address our demands with utmost seriousness.”
Pradyot Kishore added that the tribal community did not develop because tribal leaders failed to highlight their demands unitedly.
