Agartala, July 10, 2025: CITU Tripura State President Manik Dey on Wednesday claimed that the nationwide strike called by ten central trade unions along with affiliated Kisan Morcha was a success in Tripura. Addressing a press conference at the CITU state office, he stated that people across the state had responded spontaneously to the call.

“Except for Agartala, most of the markets in the state remained closed since morning in support of the strike,” Dey said. He alleged that in some places, the ruling party had pressured traders to open their shops.

The leaders thanked the people for their support and participation in the strike, which was called in protest against the central government’s labor and farm policies.
