Militants have planned major actions to thwart the independence day program.
It is reported that NLFT militants are roaming around two areas of Khowai with illegal weapons.
The militants and radicals became active centering the upcoming independence day and they had plans for destructive activities.
The detective department of Tripura Police has highlighted the matter.
Four militants of the NLFT group infiltrated the Tripura border with advanced weapons few days back.
They infiltrated the Manipur-Bangladesh border to enter Tripura.
They were observed roaming in the remote areas of Khowai, namely Enkepara and Undaisinghpara on 21st July.
They were carrying weapons and heavy bags.
Their aim was to carry out sudden attacks on jawans and polices posted in those areas for keeping peace among tribals.
According to sources, the detective department of Tripura Police already found a pre-planned blueprint of a 36 hour operation of the militants.
Sources also revealed that the militants are trying to accomplish their goals on July 24 and 25.
They are aimed to attack weak camps and stations of army and police located in remote areas, which are placed for maintaining peace and protecting tribal people.
Observers and analysts think the militant groups are becoming active not only for upcoming independence day, but also for the upcoming election in 2023.
Sources said that necessary legal actions are being taken to prevent and handle the situation.
