Tripura gears up to host G20 delegates between April 3-4

The Science 20 conference of G-20, “Clean Energy for Greener Future” will be held in Agartala on April 3 and 4.

The main conference will be held at the indoor exhibition hall of the Hapaniya International Fair Complex.

The renovation and beautification of the conference hall for the conference is in progress along with the construction of an exhibition stall.

On Wednesday, Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Director of Industries and Commerce Department Vishwasri B, Additional Director Swapna Debnath and other senior officials of the department visited the indoor hall of the Hapaniya International Fair Complex.

During the visit, they checked the exhibition stalls, main conference hall and various other internal arrangements.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry also gave various necessary suggestions to the officials of the Industry and Commerce Department.
In reply to the questions of the journalists, Minister Chakma said that international level conferences like G-20 are going to be held in small states like Tripura with the aim of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sabka Sath Sabka Biswas.

She added, “The G-20 visit is aimed at ensuring that there is no deficiency in the arrangement. 46 exhibition stalls will display various products and other items produced by eight districts of the state apart from various departments”.

Industry and Commerce Minister said that such conferences will play an important role in the overall development of Tripura.

She hoped that this program will be fruitful with the overall cooperation of people from all levels of Tripura.
