Tripura Police successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle 41 kilograms of cannabis from the cargo terminal of MBB Airport in Agartala.
The Airport Police Station received a tip-off about two suspicious parcels from the Post Office, destined to be transported outside Tripura.

Acting on this information, the airport authorities thoroughly scanned the parcels and confirmed their suspicions.

However, when the Post Office representatives failed to claim the parcels, the authorities followed the law and opened them and discovered the hidden 41 kilograms of cannabis inside the parcel.

The authorities promptly seized the contraband and transferred it to the Police Station for further investigation.

The police are conducting a thorough investigation to track the source and destination of the illicit consignment.
