Tripura: Skeleton head recovered from Tripura Sundari temple’s Dighi

Tensions arose in the surrounding area of the Tripurasundari temple when a human skull was discovered floating in the water of the holy Kalyan Sagar temple on Wednesday morning.

Local residents initially noticed something suspicious floating in the water and upon closer inspection, identified it as a human skull.

The officer-in-charge of RK Pur police station, Babul Das said to reporters,”As soon as we received the information, a police team was dispatched to the location, and they recovered the remains. The recovered remains have been sent to the Gomati District hospital for necessary medical examination.”

The police official added that the post-mortem process in such cases can be time-consuming due to some complications.

Babul Das further said, “A preliminary post-mortem is done, followed by the main autopsy. The identification of the deceased can only be determined after the completion of these scientific procedures.”
