TSR Jawan Shot Self Dead At Sepahijala District

A 45-year old Tripura State Rifles (TSR) jawan used his own service rifle to kill himself in the premises of Bishalgarh Town Girls High School on Friday.

A temporary camp of the 1st battalion was organised in this school situated under the Sepahijala district.

Local people along with other TSR jawans in the temporary camp heard the gunshot sound and found that Babul was lying on the ground.

It is reported that he shot himself on his head to commit suicide. Persons of Bishalgarh Fire Service department rushed to the spot after receiving information and shifted him to Bishalgarh sub-divisional hospital.

However, doctors said that Babul died due to his injury before reaching the hospital.
Meanwhile, senior officials of TSR and staff of Bishalgarh police station also rushed to the spot after hearing about the incident.
Nevertheless, it is still mysterious why Babul committed suicide.
