Udaipur, June 25: Tension erupted in Dataram Bazar under the Matabari Assembly Constituency on June 21, following a clash between workers of the Congress and BJP. In connection with the incident, both parties later filed cases at the Radha Kishore Pur police station.
In a fresh development, it has been alleged that the residence of Congress leader Indrajit Das, from the same constituency, was attacked again on Monday night.
In protest, a procession was organised by the Gomati District Congress on Tuesday. Led by District Congress President Titon Pal, the rally commenced from the Congress office and proceeded to the Radha Kishore Pur police station. The party leaders and workers submitted a memorandum, demanding prompt action against those responsible for the attack.
Party leaders condemned the incident, alleging a deterioration of law and order in the area, and called upon the administration to ensure the safety of political workers.
