Union Home Ministry to hold a nationwide Civil Defence Exercise on 7th May across 244 Civil Defence Districts.
The drill, extending to village level, will assess readiness & coordination of Civil Defence forces, involving officials, volunteers, NCC, NSS, NYKS & students.
📌Objectives of the Civil Defence mock drill on 7th May:
•Assess air raid warning systems
•Test hotline/radio links with IAF
•Check control room functionality
•Train civilians & students
•Ensure blackout & camouflage readiness
•Activate Civil Defence services (firefighting, rescue, warden services)
•Evaluate evacuation plans
