Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu arrives in Tripura today.
Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu arrived in the state on Wednesday on a two-day visit.
This will be Naidu’s second visit to Tripura since March 2018, after BJP came to power in the state.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Pratima Bhoumik Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment welcomed the Hon’ble Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu at MBB Airport, Agartala today.
To maintain the law and order situation across Tripura during the VPs visit the police have issued an alert and security has been beefed up in many places.
In his tweet Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said “Honored to welcome the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu Ji at MBB Airport, Agartala today. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jishnu Dev varma Ji and MoS Sushree Pratima Bhoumik Ji accompanied me in welcoming the Hon’ble VP”.
