Agartala, July 20: Sensation prevailed in the Darogabari area of Amtali after the hanging body of a young man, identified as Rahul Chakraborty, was recovered on Sunday.

According to family members, Rahul had been under severe mental stress for a long time after allegedly failing to recover money that was due to him even after selling his own house. However, his relatives are unwilling to accept the incident as a case of suicide.

The family has alleged that there is a mystery surrounding Rahul’s death and demanded that the real facts be brought to light through an impartial investigation.

They have appealed to the authorities, including Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, to ensure a fair and transparent probe into the incident.

Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the young man’s death.
