Kailashahar, Jan 24: Congress MLA Birajit Sinha on Friday night reacted to the clash between two groups in the main town of Kailashahar, addressing the media on the incident.

Sinha said that the clash had marred the festive spirit of Saraswati Puja. He strongly criticized the statement made by the ruling party’s mandal president to the media regarding the incident.

The Congress legislator alleged that the violence was the result of an internal conflict between two factions of the ruling party.

He further claimed that the situation went out of control to such an extent that the police had to fire up to six rounds to bring the situation under control.

He demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and strict action against those responsible.
