CM attends in Bhumi Pujan of Tripura Police Head quarters

The new building of the state police head office will be constructed in the capital complex.
On this occasion, Bhumi Pujan was held on Sunday near the Secretariat.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Additional Director General Saurabh Tripathi, IGP, AIGP, West District Superintendent of Police Shankar Debnath and other officers and jawans of various forces participated in this event organized by the Araksha administration.
When Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha reached the event spot, guard of honor was presented to him by TSR 6th and 7th battalion jawans led by Assistant Battalion Commandant Sudarshan Das.

Unveiling the plaque after Bhoomi Puja, Chief Minister told reporters that there was a need to build the state police headquarters, as the space of current headquarters is not enough for various departments.

CM added, “The state police headquarters will be built on a large scale in the capitol complex. 1 acre land is given here. More land will be needed, which will be provided as per the rules”.

The chief minister said that the role of the state police in maintaining law and order is commendable. Tripura Police is in no way inferior to other states in the country.
