Tripura’s Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the Mariamnagar church on Friday morning.
During the visit, Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty, Old Agartala Panchayat Samiti Chairman Biswajit Shil, Agartala’s Ward No. 9 Corporator Uttam Ghosh, Mariamnagar Church Principal Father Lins Baby and Church Vice Principal Carol D’Souza were present during the visit.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha visited the fair grounds organized at Mariamnagar Church and various places in the church area on the occasion of Christmas.
After the visit, the Chief Minister also attended an exchange meeting in the office of Father and greeted everyone on Christmas and discussed the development of the water treatment system and communication system in the Mariamnagar area.
He said, like our country, people of different castes, religions, castes and languages live in Tripura. CM added, “Religious festivals of all religions are celebrated here with equal importance. Christmas is also celebrated here with the same dignity and enthusiasm. People of all religions spontaneously participate in this festival.”
He further said that like every year, a fair and cultural festival will be held here on the occasion of the Christmas festival.
People from all parts of Tripura come to enjoy this festival.
