Tripura’s main opposition party, CPIM, has called for a boycott of the country’s President Draupadi Murmu’s event in Tripura.
This statement was highlighted by CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury.
Invitations were sent to CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chaudhary, former MPs and Left MLAs to attend the event.
However, Jitendra Chowdhury said that they will not attend any event of the President.
This kind of behaviour of a senior political leader is certainly inappropriate in terms of courtesy as well as it indicates disrespecting towards the highest position of the country.
