Kailasahar, November 11: The number of dengue cases is steadily increasing in Unakoti district, raising concern among health officials. According to data from the Health Department, a total of 46 dengue patients have been identified in the district so far. Among them, 13 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the Unakoti District Hospital.
Speaking on the situation, Dr. Rohan Pal, Medical Superintendent of the district hospital, said, “Our hospital conducts dengue tests throughout the year. However, the number of positive cases has increased over the past few weeks. Several patients are under treatment, but none of them are in critical condition yet.”
Additionally, the Medical Superintendent appealed to the public to clean stagnant water sources, use mosquito nets, and avoid taking unnecessary medicines to help prevent the spread of the disease.
