Kalamchoura, November 11: The Crime Branch of the police has intensified its operations after the arrest of four individuals in connection with the multi-crore drug case linked to Jirania Railway.

A large-scale search operation was conducted in the Kalamchoura police station area on Tuesday morning, with the main focus on the residence of notorious drug dealer Apu Das. According to reports, Apu Das has long been suspected of involvement in drug trafficking activities.

As soon as the police operation began, tension spread among local residents. However, the accused was not found at his home during the raid, leading police to believe that he had fled earlier. Efforts are underway to trace his whereabouts.

To maintain law and order, additional police forces have been deployed in the area. A senior Crime Branch official stated that the crackdown on drug networks will continue relentlessly and that no one involved in the illegal trade will be spared.
