Drug-free Tripura will be developed with combined efforts of all: Finance Minister

The state government has taken various steps to build drug free society and drug free Tripura. Government needs cooperation of everyone to make this effort successful. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said this while inaugurating World No Tobacco Day programme at Udaipur Town Hall yesterday.

On the occasion, he said, starting from the students, with the combined efforts of everyone, drug-free Tripura will be developed In-charge Sahakari Sabhadhipati of Gomati Zilla Parishad Debal Debroy presided over the programme. Chief Medical Officer of Gomati District Nirumohan Jamatin delivered the welcome address.

Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council Shital Chandra Majumder, Sub-Divisional Magistate of Udaipur Jayanta Bhattacharya, Sub-Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Joydeep Debbarma and others were present among others at the programme.

The theme of World No Tobacco Day is “We need food, Not Tobacco’. A bike rally was organized in Udaipur yesterday to create public awareness on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy inaugurated this bike rally.
