The earthquake occurred at a moderately shallow depth of 31 km beneath the epicenter early afternoon on Monday, July 24th, 2023, at 3:04 pm local time.
An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale hit Tripura’s Khowai on Monday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
No reports of casualties or damages are known yet.
