The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to maintain the standard of Tripura Medical College in keeping with modern technology. The Chief Minister told the students that there is a lot to learn from this institution. Besides, there must be a good relationship between the faculty and students of the college. Students need to know the history of this medical college as well as the teachers who have contributed significantly to the development of this college With the sincere efforts of the government, the establishment of Agartala Government Dental College in the state has been possible in a very short time. Classes will start in the dental college from the current academic year. The process of faculty recruitment along with student admission has already been completed
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that an initiative has been taken to set up one more medical college on PPP model in Ambassa. MOU has already been signed. At present, medical colleges, dental college, nursing colleges have been established in the state. In short, plans have been taken to build a health bub in the state from all sides. He said that 100 new health sub-centres will be constructed to strengthen the health infrastructure of the state. An initiative has also been taken to set up I de-addiction centre in each district of the state.
Moreover, primary health centres are being converted into community health centres. Specialist doctors are coming to the state as the state government has divided the Tripura Health Service into two categories, general duty and specialist.
9super specialist departments have been opened in AGMC and GB Hospital On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, around 13 lakh Ayushmancards have been distributed among the beneficiaries in the state.
Initiatives have been taken to launch a new scheme called Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana for those families in the state who are not covered under Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana.
For this reason, a fund of 59 crore rupees have been kept in the budget of the current financial year
