District Magistrate & Collector, Belonia, South Tripura chaired an emergency meeting to review and strategize proactive measures in light of the probable flood situation arising from incessant rainfall.

Coordination among departments and immediate response mechanisms were key points of discussion.

In view of the prevailing situation and as a precautionary measure under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, all Schools, Private Schools, Anganwadi centers, and colleges across the South Tripura District shall remain closed on 9th July 2025 (Wednesday).

This decision has been taken in the interest of public safety.

All are advised to stay indoors, remain alert, and follow official updates.
