Agartala, Feb 26: Amid ongoing agitation across various parts of the state by two MLAs — Ramprasad Pal and Ranjit Debbarma — a large delegation of senior and young journalists on Wednesday met Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu at Lok Bhavan, seeking legal action against the two legislators.

The delegation raised concerns over the recent developments linked to the agitations and urged the Governor to intervene in the matter to ensure appropriate legal steps are taken.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Agartala Press Club President Pranab Sarkar said that His Excellency the Governor has assured the delegation that necessary measures would be considered in accordance with the law.
