Agartala, Feb 26: A massive traffic jam disrupted normal life on Wednesday night as a long stretch of road from Paradise Chowmuni to Battala in Agartala remained heavily congested for hours. Commuters faced extreme inconvenience as vehicles were stranded on the road for an extended period.

According to eyewitnesses, the congestion began in the evening and gradually intensified, leaving cars, buses, and two-wheelers stuck in a seemingly endless queue. Office-goers, patients, and daily commuters were among those worst affected by the situation.

What raised serious concerns was the absence of visible police personnel to regulate traffic along this crucial stretch. Despite being one of the busiest routes in the city, no immediate measures were seen to ease the gridlock. The lack of proper traffic management further worsened the situation, leading to frustration among motorists.

Residents and commuters have urged the authorities to take necessary steps to ensure better traffic regulation, especially during peak hours, to prevent such chaos in the future.
