Tension flared up in the Kadamtala area of Tripura following clashes surrounding Durga Puja donations.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Dharmanagar, Sajal Debnath clamped the curbs under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita at Kadamtala till Wednesday to restore normality

The situation escalated as protesters vandalized houses and shops in retaliation.

At present, tensions remain high, with a large crowd still gathered at Kadamtala market.
