Sabroom, Nov 11: Train services on the Agartala–Sabroom route were disrupted this morning after local residents blocked the railway track at Magpara area under Chalitachari in Sabroom subdivision.

According to reports, a person named Keojai Mag was crushed to death by a train late last night.

Following the incident, residents staged a protest on the tracks around 7:45 a.m., demanding proper investigation and safety measures.

Upon receiving the information, personnel from Monubazar Police Station rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Train movement was later restored to normal, though tension continues to prevail in the area.
