Man brutally kills his grandmother in Tripura

A man, reportedly grappling with mental health problems, is accused of brutally killing his grandmother with a machete in Tripura on Sunday.

The tragic event occurred in Santirbazar, situated in Southern Tripura. The accused is identified as Bijoy Das, engaged in a heated argument with his grandmother before launching a machete attack on her while she was cooking in the kitchen.

This horrific assault resulted in severe injuries to the victim’s head and hand, which ultimately led to her tragic demise.

Police rushed to the spot and recovered the victim’s body and the machete used to kill her.
The cause of the fight remains unknown at this time.

The police have apprehended the suspect and initiated an investigation into the incident.
