Exit polls indicate a decisive victory for the BJP-led NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with projections suggesting they will surpass the 300-seat mark again.
The BJP and its allies are anticipated to make significant gains in the southern states, increasing both their vote share and seat count.
In 2019, the average of 13 exit polls predicted 306 seats for the NDA and 120 for the UPA, but the NDA exceeded expectations by winning 353 seats, while the UPA secured 93.
Specifically, the BJP won 303 seats and the Congress 52. According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, the BJP-led NDA is projected to win between 361 and 401 seats.
If accurate, this would confirm the BJP’s slogan, “Ab ki baar 400 paar.” Axis My India also predicts the INDIA alliance will secure 131-166 seats, with Others getting 8-20 seats.
Although the NDA is expected to lose some seats in northern states, these losses are offset by significant gains in the south, with the BJP potentially winning seats in Tamil Nadu and Kerala for the first time.
