Exit polls by Axis My India for the India Today Group forecast that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win decisively in both Lok Sabha seats in Tripura.
The NDA is expected to capture 62% of the vote share in the Tripura West and Tripura East constituencies.
It predicted that the opposition alliance, INDIA may secure 35% of the vote in Tripura West and 30% in Tripura East, while other parties and independents are predicted to receive 3% in Tripura West and 8% in Tripura East.
Notably, BJP’s Pratima Bhoumik secured the seat with 573,532 votes in the 2019 West Tripura Lok Sabha election. CPI-M’s Shankar Prasad Dutta received 171,826 votes and Congress’s Subal Bhowmik garnered 267,843 votes. BJP’s Rebati Tripura won the 2019 East Tripura (ST) Lok Sabha election with 482,126 votes, followed by Congress’s Pragya Deb Burman and CPI-M’s Jitendra Chaudhary.
The exit poll results highlight the NDA’s dominant performance in Tripura, reinforcing their strong electoral presence in the state.
Around 5.8 lakh interviews conducted in all 543 parliamentary constituencies have helped the India Today-Axis My India to publish the exit poll.
