Revenue and Forest Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma passed away on Sunday at Agartala GB Hospital at 2.45 pm.
He died as a result of massive blood loss due to high blood pressure. Late Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma was admitted to the ICU unit of GBP Hospital on December 30.
He underwent brain surgery the same day due to bleeding in the brain.
The mortal remains of late Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma were brought from GBP Hospital to his advisor’s residence in Choumuhani this afternoon.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma along with other dignitaries came to the residence of late minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma and paid their respects.
While talking to the reporters on Sunday, the Chief Minister said, “His death is an irreparable loss to us. He was a beloved leader of all sections of the nation. His vacancy is not to be filled”.
Expressing deep grief, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma said, “A chapter has come to an end with the passing away of Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debvarma. He was a writer, literary and shrewd politician”.
The Deputy CM expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family of late Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma.
He was cremated in his ancestral place Maharani under Teliamura Subdivision, Khowai District.
The dead body of late NC Debbarma was
first taken from his residence in Agartala to All India Radio Center.
After that, the body was taken directly to the Tripura Legislative Assembly.
Everyone there pays homage to the late minister with flowers.
