“Where is the CPIM in the country today?” Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sarma said these words at a party rally of BJP in Killa on Monday.
He said, “The way the development work is progressing in Tripura. Several projects have been successfully implemented in Tripura within a short period of time. Although the Left Front government was in power in Tripura for several times, they could not show such progress. Actually communists had no such mentality.”
Sarma also said that double engine government is working in Tripura, which was not there during CPIM period.
He added that people are getting double engine privileges, as the BJP government is at the Centre as well as Tripura.
Sarma further said that the BJP party must be in power in the state in the next assembly elections to continue such benefits. It is noted that the Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha addressed the rally.
He criticised the CPIM and said that there was no democracy in Tripura during the CPIM period. Meanwhile, on the same day, the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma also participated in a party program in Radha Kishorepur area.
He landed at Agartala airport on Monday morning and was welcomed there by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik.
