Tripura police is monitoring drug peddling activities very strictly across the state as a part of the Anti-Narcotics drive.

In yet another such incident police of west Agartala Police Station detained a person along with huge amount of drugs.

Based on confidential information, West Agartala carried out a secret operation on late Wednesday night.

It is reported that a house at Bamun Para locality in Lankamura area was raided by West Agartala Police personnel.

Police recovered brown sugar and yaba tablets from the scooty of the house owner named Shankar Sarkar.

While speaking about the raid, Sadar Sub-divisional Police Officer Ajay Kumar Das said that the market value of recovered drugs is around Rs 1 lakh.
