Scuffle Between Congress and BJP Over Meeting in Udaipur; Cases Filed by Both Parties

Udaipur, June 23: Tension flared yesterday in the Dataram area of Udaipur as a scuffle broke out between workers of the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the organization of a political meeting. The incident led to both parties lodging complaints against each other at the Radha Kishore Pur police station.

According to Congress leaders, the ruling BJP allegedly attacked a meeting organized by the Congress party with the intention of sabotaging it. Gomati District Congress President Titon Pal claimed that five Congress workers were assaulted during the incident and a vehicle belonging to the party was vandalized.

On the other hand, the ruling BJP accused the Congress of initiating the clash. The BJP alleged that Congress workers, led by Titon Pal, attacked their supporters during the altercation.

Both parties subsequently filed formal complaints at the Radha Kishore Pur police station regarding the incident. It has been learnt that the injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at the Gomati District Hospital.

Police have registered cases based on the complaints and are investigating the matter.
