The Talented Sportspersons Search Program, launched on February 4 under the initiative of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, has successfully concluded across the state. The program witnessed an impressive participation of 34,571 young sportspersons from 247 zones, including blocks, municipal councils, Nagar Panchayats, and Municipal Corporations.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Tinku Roy, made this announcement at a press conference held at the Secretariat Press Conference Hall today.

He highlighted that this was the first time the program has been conducted at the state level, with the aim of identifying and nurturing talent from the grassroots level.

Minister Roy further announced that a state-level competition will be held at the Umakanta Maidan on March 21, featuring young players selected from the district-level competitions across the state. To facilitate talent exploration, the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology, has also launched an app called TSSB Live.
